Good evening - just popping these 2 on but promise they will be the last. I need to make a few more and then a few special ones if I can pull myself together enough crafty wise!

Finally a few Christmas cards!
Hello folks - golly it's been ages since I last posted anything but I've at last managed to make a few cards for friends at work. I saw this new download from Pink Petticoat which is called Have an Ice Christmas and I thought it looked so cute and just what I needed. These are only small 4x4" cards and as you can see they are as simple as I am! Images coloured with Promarkers, cuttlebugged backgrounds and a bit of sparkle. No need to worry about the sentiment as they are already there if you want them.
Apologies for the duff photos but they were taken under my desk lamp as it gets dark so early now. Thanks so much for visiting.

Little Boxes........da de da - you know the song!
Afternoon - my day off and it's peeing with rain but I don't care. I'm in the warm and doing a bit of crafting for a change. Haven't felt like making anything lately but I got down and made the polar bear triangle box today - the Christmas tree one I made a while ago. The blue one is larger as I can't imagine what you could put in the teeny one apart from jewellery or in my case about 3 chocolates! The larger one gives more scope for trinkets.
Paper and stamps on both are by Imaginisce. The little Snag'em stamps are such good value at about £1 each. On the first one I embossed the tree in gold then just put some dots of red and green Stickles for decoration. The blue one is coloured with Promarkers with some glitter on his scarf and round the edge I've decorated with Diamond Dust which is glass glitter (you can't see it all that well if at all).

Diddy Notecards and Box
I'm always short of a little notecard when I need one so thought I'd make a few teeny ones and a little box to keep them in. These are 3x3 and I did start off with 8 but ended up with 6! Just very simple - some are embossed with various CB folders, others are textured card and one I just put some patterned paper on cos I felt like it! Elzybells stamps used for everything. The box lid just slips behind the flower and stays put nicely. Oh the patterned paper on the box is SU.
Many thanks to my friend Mandy who very kindly sent me some diddy envies so I didn't have to muck about making them. Much appreciated.

Digital Tuesday Challenge card
Afternoon to you. We have lovely sun but it's a tad chilly in the shade - all in all it's been a great week to be on holiday. I bought a few of the new cute images from CC Designs - you can purchase them here - and couldn't resist this one although I don't make Halloween cards normally. The Challenge from Digital Tuesday this week is 'All about the kids' so I think he fits the bill perfectly.
Kept it as simple as me! - black card which has been embossed down the side but doesn't show up. Image is coloured with PMs, spiders were a wide ribbon I had so cut out 2 circles and stuck them on and the Boo is cut from an old Sizzlets alpha set I have.

Birthday/Friday Sketchers Challenge card
Evening - well it's turned out to be a scorcher today but cooling down nicely now. Made this the other day for my lovely Italian friend at work and didn't want to post it until I was sure she had received it.
Nice, straightforward sketch to follow on Friday Sketchers although I have twisted it as the image was larger than I had intended making it. Hippy Chic is another great image from Sassy Studio Designs - cut her out which was a little fiddly round the hands and hair but at least I could put her onto a background dark enough to show her off. Coloured with promarkers and the papers are K&Co Sparkly Sweet. A few punched flowers and some glamour dust sprinked hither and thither and Happy Birthday in Italian.

Birthday/Challenge card
Well it's the first day of my weeks holiday and I have 3 cards I need to make so I am trying to incorporate them into some of the challenges on the go. This one is for my sister who I know won't see it so that's ok. I'd like to enter this for the Stampin for the Weekend Challenge which is to use the colours pink, orange and teal.
Image is a digi download from Sassy Studio Designs - I thought she was so serene and peaceful that it would make my sister laugh as she definately is not! Cardstock is SU in teal, papers are Basic Grey and image coloured with Pros. Photo makes the teal look very dark but it's much lighter in real life.
Now onwards and upwards to get the other 2 I need to send off this week made.

Cupcake Craft Challenge - Happy 1st Birthday
Fantastic challenge to celebrate the 1st birthday of the Cupcake Craft Challenge. There are some truly wonderful prizes to be won including very generous blog hop goodies from the DT. The brief was 'Something Sweet' and you could also include cupcakes if you wanted to.
Papers are Zoe Pearns Persimmon and the image is from CC Designs coloured with Promarkers. I was lucky enough to be given a Forever Friends cupcake stamp yesterday and decided to do the shrinky thing and fill my little fairys' wheelbarrow with them. I coloured them with Stardust pens hence the sparkle glare from the camera. It was fiddly but fun. A couple of buttons and some glitter on her wings and that's the lot. Haven't decided on the sentiment yet.
This was my first blog hop and I really enjoyed it so thanks to everyone for making it possible.

Two Challenges Card
Afternoon - it's a beautiful day here, very warm with a nice breeze so why am I card making! This card hopefully covers two challenges - Sketch Saturday with a lovely design to follow and also the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which was to use the colours blue, tan and cream. The kitty is a PB stickeroo so I feel I've cheated a bit. Papers are called 'What a Feeling' by Doreen Stolz - you can buy these from Aimee Asher. Tan paper has been embossed with the CB Divine Swirl folder - punched flowers, a bit of ribbon and liquid pearls. Sentiment made in Word and that's it.
Hope you are enjoying the weekend and thanks for visiting.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge Card
Well it's a baking hot evening here - doesn't seem to be much breeze around so it's like a sauna up here in my bedroom. Thought I would continue my crafty streak while it's still lurking and so I've made this little gift card and triangle gift box for the SCSC. You have to have bugs somewhere on the items so I used my little Elzybells stamps - bees and the snail and also of course the sentiment. Dipped into my box of 12x12 papers and found this nice Crate paper which has a good weight to it and the box came together perfectly using it - thanks to Mandy for the inspiration for the box. A few little gems, a bit of ribbon and that's about it.

Colour Create Challenge Card
This is the first time I've entered this challenge and I finished the card yesterday in the dark so had to wait until this morning to take the photo. The challenge was to use the colours pink, orange and green. Image is from CC Designs, papers are by Kay Miller (Springwingding). Flowers punched and coloured with Promarkers to match the image, some very pale green glitter on her wings and sentiment is Elzybells (don't know what I'd do without these!). Used liquid pearls on the flowers and looking at it now I think I may change the colour of the sentiment to pink - the orange looks a bit OTT to me.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - 61
What a lovely afternoon we're having here today. Warm and sunny and I'm sitting inside making cards! Anyway this is for the PBSC this week and it was a lovely sketch by Beth which was a pleasure to follow. I used my Catitude PB stamp which doesn't see the light of day very often but always makes me smile. Coloured with Promarkers as is the scalloped nestie and the flower.
Papers are Urban Kiwi from Shabby Princess and I've been waiting for a chance to use these. Photo makes them a lot darker and less green than they actually are. A bit of ribbon and black glittery brad from my stash and the sentiment is a button from the embellies in the Urban Kiwi set and I've just put the words on in Word.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge
Good morning - very soggy here after really heavy rain for most of last night but it's still on the muggy side which I hate.
Anyway just about made it in time for the Penny Black Challenge - the theme is Summer!! Yes - maybe we might get one eventually. I chose this cute stamp which always makes me smile. I've popped up the butterfly although you can't tell from the photo. Papers are Kay Miller, nestie scallop is coloured with Promarkers to match the bunny, flowers are EK Success punch, Sizzix swirly whatsit and liquid pearls in gold for the flower centres. No sentiment as yet as I can't decide what occasion it will be for.

Cupcake Craft Challenge Card
Good afternoon. Not a bad day here but thought I would crack on and finish my challenge card for the Cupcake Craft Challenge as it has been sitting in bits on my table for most of the week waiting for me to find the time to put it together. The brief was to use the colours pink, green and brown and also animals and flowers - what a lovely combination. I've used my one of my most favourite Penny Black stamps - I just loves this little laid back bear.
I couldn't find any brown card for the nestie scallop edge so instead I cut a white one on my Big Shot and coloured the edge of it with a Promarker the same brown as the bear so it all marries up nicely.
Thanks for taking to time to visit.

I Love Promarkers Challenge Card
While hopping about on Blogger and Facebook I found this new challenge blog - I love Promarkers - well as I do love them I thought I'd attempt another card and here it is. There is a sketch to follow and very nice it is too. Image is the very lovely Olive from Digistamp Boutique, papers are called Soda Shop by Mechelle Conrad, sentiment is Elzybells and of course coloured with the fandabby Promarkers.
Photo is a tad pale - sorry once more.
Thanks for visiting and now I must have a lie down having made my quota of cards for the month in 2 days...lol.

Sketch Saturday Challenge Card - whoo hoo!!
Well I don't know how long it's been since I made a challenge card but I saw the sketch on http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/ and thought I would give it a try. Lovely sketch to follow and gave me a chance to use my new paper download bought this morning from Sweet Shoppe Designs. These are called Sweetness and are by Christy Lyle - very pretty I thought.
Gorjuss was stamped and cut out - coloured with Promarkers and then layered onto the paper. The fabric leaf ribbon has been lurking in my stash for ages just waiting for an airing so with the punched flowers it looks just about right. Pearls for the centres, Elzybells sentiment and that's about it I think.
Thanks for coming to visit.

Flowers and mistakes!
Hi there. Another weekend nearly over but at least I've managed one card at last. I was surfing about this morning and one thing leads to another and these lovely freebies popped up here. Lovely web site with a great range of downloads which I shall be looking at shortly. It's been ages since I did any cutting out and it shows but it passed the time quite nicely. The flowers were already coloured so I just used a Stardust clear pen to add some sparkle in the centres and round the edges of the petals. The lovely paper is just punched with an SU scalloped border punch. The centre of the flowers are just dollops of liquid pearls which were wet when the photo was taken. My usual crappy photo taking doesn't show it at it's best!
Mistake was the embossed centre panel which I put through my Sizzix back to front and as it was the only piece of cream pearl card I had I decided to leave it debossed instead.....lol. Not decided on a sentiment yet - just have to see what occasion comes along first.
Thanks for looking and hope you've all had a good weekend.

My first bag
Hi - I've had a hankering to make a bag after seeing so many lovely ones around on various blogs and this is my first. Thanks so much to Mandy who has been so helpful with her advice. Please visit her blog for lots of wonderful inspiration and fab creations. Sorry about the terrible photo at the bottom - the light was rubbish but I wanted to get them on here tonight.
I'm sitting here munching my way through a packet of jelly babies which were supposed to go inside the bag!......oh well - there's always time to get something else to go in it.

Keeping it simple
Afternoon from a very muggy Herts. Don't know if we're in for more thunderstorms but I wouldn't be surprised.
This card was inspired by Cookie - her designs are uncluttered and just so gorgeous. Please have a visit to her blog and you'll see what I mean. Anyway I thought I'd have a go and have enjoyed making this card. Image is Elzybells as is the sentiment, coloured with stardust pens for a lovely shimmer and just a strip of gingham paper which I stuck to card and then layered a strip of ribbon on top.
Wish I could take better photos but you get the gist and thanks for popping by.

Olive
Second one today - love this set of images as I do adore cats and Olive is such a cute kitty. This is the offer of the month (June) set from http://www.digistampboutique.co.uk/catalog/index.php and I had to have these. Think I must have a thing the colour orange at the moment as I've used that colour on nearly all the cards I've made lately but it's nice, cheerful and summery so maybe that's why.
Paper is Kay Miller - Light of my Life, image coloured not very well I'm afraid with Promarkers,
corners and Hi are cuttlebug dies and that's it I think. Thanks for visiting.

Ooooh Betty!
Hi anyone. Another glorious day but a tad too hot for me. I used to love the sun but can't seem to take it any more so don't go out in it if I can help it. Anyway this is a cute download called Betty and Friends which I bought a few days ago from http://lily-boosboutique.blogspot.com/. Very talented lady and a lovely variety of downloads at very good prices.
Now whether this is Betty or a friend I don't know but she's very sweet. Coloured with Promarkers, used a pink ink pad on the mat, papers are Zoe Pearns Sugar and Spice which are lovely, sentiment is Elzybells, corners and flowers cut from lilac glitter card and that's about it.

Another Gorjuss image - Miss Stroppy
Afternoon all - glorious day here and I'm on holiday this week so I've actually finished a card! My son has gone to Glastonbury leaving me home alone which is just how I planned it.
Second of my Gorjuss girl stamps - I think she looks like a stroppy young lady but couldn't think of a sentiment to fit. Papers are Zoe Pearns Persimmon again - they are actually greener than in the photo but the camera wouldn't co-operate with me. Nestie mats and a strip of pearlescent orange card swiss dotted. Didn't have any liquid pearls the right colour so used my glaze pen for the dots round the scallop.
Thanks for taking the time to visit.

Fathers Day Cards
I hate 'having' to make cards but these two were nice and easy. I have used digi downloads before but always had disasters colouring them in as the printer ink always ran - however I decided to try my Promarkers and they worked brilliantly. You're bound to have seen Jim around a lot lately as he is just perfect for mens cards. You can find him and many other great downloads at http://www.digistampboutique.co.uk/catalog/ as I'm sure you know already.
Kept it as simple as poss with just the image, a bit of matting and layering, a sentiment and one backing paper one each - both of which came from a Dovecraft Masculine paper pack. Hope my Dad likes his (top one). Thank for looking.

Just Gorjuss
Hi there - it's been a long time since my last post but I've finally finished this card. Just not feeling in a cardmaking mood lately but I'm happy with how it turned out in the end.
I am probably among the last to come to the Gorjuss Girls but I've wanted them for ages so I treated meself to 3 of them. Papers are Zoe Pearns Persimmon which I really love. Image coloured with Promarkers and used some liquid pearls and a bit of glitter.

Card for my Sister
Hi anyone! - long time no blog. Haven't had any inspiration or even felt like making any cards for ages now but I had to make this one for my little sis who turns 50 on Monday. Wanted to make a special one but it's very bog standard but quite pretty and I'm sure she'll like it. Didn't want to put her age on it particularly so just bunged a flower on instead.
I did try a few more adventurous things but they all ended up as usual in the bin so I kept with what I know works for me. I've made a pocket inside to hold the voucher I've bought for her.
Thanks for taking the time to look.

Seeing double!
New Elzybells stamp
One of my new Elzybells stamps and it's really cute. Stamps beautifully as do they all and takes a couple of minutes to colour. Took me so much longer to do the sentiment and now it looks scarily bright - never mind.
Thanks for looking.

Elzybells Free P&P this weekend
Just a heads up for any fans of Elzybells stamps - Elizabeth is offering free p&p this coming weekend: Saturday 28th - Monday 30th. I love her stamps as you may have noticed and will be making out my wishlist tonight. You can find the shop here.

Elzybells Challenge - Polka Dots
Well this is a first for me - posting a card before I go off to work! Started it last night and have just finished it off. Using my new mini messages again and my new Sizzix flourish die which I've chopped into bits because it's rather on the large side. It looks a bit bare at the bottom but I think less is more in this case - in other words I can't think of anything to put there that wouldn't spoil it!! Thanks for looking.

New Home Card with New Stamps
Well I've been on holiday this week and the weather has been superb. Haven't done a lot of crafting but I was itching to use my new Elzybells stamps which I've treated myself to. So today I got my bum in gear and made this. It was a bit of an experiment for me as I've never made an aperture card before but I'm right pleased with how it's turned out.
Card stock is SU - paper is Zoe Pearns Cottage Garden which I love - stamp is one of the lovely new mini messages - 'a little hello' as is the sentiment. There are oodles of great little stamps and sentiments on the one sheet and something for every occasion. I shall be using these a lot.

Elzybells Sketch Challenge
I can't remember the last time I managed to make a challenge card but when I saw this great sketch by Michelle on the Elzybells blog I thought I'd give it a go. This is the first time I've used the little dog and he stamped beautifully. Papers are a Kay Miller download and sentiment is Elzybells of course.
Oh no.......another one!
More Fairies
Good Sunday afternoon just to you all. Lovely sunny day but golly what a strong wind - glad to be inside. Made this little card over the week and finished it off yesterday - I have Donna to thank for the inspiration for this card. I saw one on her blog and knew as soon as I got my Nesties that I must have a go at making one. It turned out ok but even with the biggest nestie it's still a tiny card so I just used one of my fairy stickers in the middle - the edges are chalked but so pale you can't tell and just some liquid pearls around the centre. Two bows as I couldn't tie one between the holes I'd punched - much easier going through one hole!!

Fairy and Forever Friends Birthday Card
Can't resist a bargain and when I saw this kit on C&C I treated myself. Easy peasy quick cards as it's all diecut decoupage and preprinted cards so if I need one in a hurry my problem is solved. Just added a bit of glamour dust on the fairy's dress and wings and one more little butterfly sticker. Couldn't get over the amount of stuff in the kit - excellent value considering what it cost originally. Very pleased with this even if it is cheating a tad....lol.
Golly it's been a long time coming but I had to make a card for a friend at work who's birthday it is this week. Until now I hadn't been able to afford any Nesties but now I've finally got some and I'm really pleased with how they enhance the images. FF stamped image was coloured with Promarkers and Sakura glaze on the crown. Papers are from a FF paper pad, sentiment I think is Elzybells and little pearlescent punched daisies.

Cutie Patootie
Well this is number 4 of my holiday cards - should have made it yesterday but things got away from me so here it is now. Don't think I'm gonna manage to make any more now but I'm pleased with the ones I've done.
The image I believe is Whipper Snapper and if I remember rightly I have Linda to thank for it. Gorgeous little thing int she? Coloured with Promarkers and matted onto pink textured card then a creamy pearlescent card as is the patterned paper which is Kay Miller's 'Mixed Veggies'.
Background card is just a solid colour block - Kay Miller again but printed onto textured card which I found laying about. Sentiment is just an odd one I found. Little flowers punched out of the patterned paper and that's the lot.
I eventually got my freezer done but gosh it took some time. It might have helped if I'd turned off the freezer and not the microwave instead!!! Duh. Didn't click until I saw the light on in the fridge but most of the food seemed to be as cold outside in the snow as it had been in the freezer so nothing got chucked. So Donna and Sue if you still want someone to defrost your freezers I can think of no one worse than me......lol

3rd and last Newton for now
Right this was yesterdays effort - different Newton image and didn't use the glittered frame for this one. Paper is called Sugar & Spice by Zoe Pearn from Sweet Shoppe Designs and the ricrack (s) was added digitally - saves all the faffing about trying to get it straight. The background paper I can't remember where it's from. This one is even more crooked than the last - must get my eyes straightened!
There is another card on the go for today but I'm trying to defrost my freezer and it's taking forever. All the food is outside in the snow (wrapped up of course) so it's a race to see if I can get it back in before it all goes smushy. Wish me luck.

More of the same
This is yesterdays card but the light was rubbish last night so I took the photo today. Same decoupaged image of Newton again but with a different colour combo of papers. The main background is called Cottage Garden by Zoe Pearn - bought it from http://sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/home.php who sell a huge range of fantastic digital layouts for scrappers and card makers alike.
I have one more Newton card on the go and then I must change tack and do something different.
Well it's yet another snowy day here in Herts - stops and starts - just sooooo glad I'm not at work.
Thanks for looking.
I have one more Newton card on the go and then I must change tack and do something different.

First holiday card - Newton
Trying to be good as I have a few days off and so I'm attempting to make a card a day - we'll see how that goes!! I've had this Newton Bear decoupage for yonks but I do like it a lot so thought I'd get cutting and this is the result. Papers are Kay Miller of course, border cut with a Fiskers punch which keeps blocking up and a couple of flowers and brad from my hoard. One day I will take a photo that sits straight but until then this is what I end up with.
Off for my tea now and who knows what I might achieve tonight! Not a lot I'm thinking. Thanks for visiting.

Snowy Day
Hi all - well should have been at work today but no buses are running so I'm here at home. Such a lot of snow and it's still coming down. I did wonder that if I managed to get to work how would I get home if it snowed again and it has so I'm glad in a way.
Back garden piccie which I blew up to show the little robin sitting on the plant holder and the second one is the way out of our Close which then goes onto a steepish slope so very difficult to get out of.
Hope you're all keeping warm and snuggly and if you have to venture out please take great care.

This little Piggy......
The light is fading now so excuse the rubbish photo. Little Sugar Nellie Porridge Pig coloured with allsorts - Promarkers, water colour pencils and stardust pens. Background papers from a stack I have. Cuttlebug embossing strip which I then chalked a bit. Flowers and button from my stash. No greeting as I don't know where to put it and also this opens from the bottom as I stuck the paper on the wrong way.........ha!
Think it's a bit insipid colourwise but it does look better in real life.

Forever Friends Number 2
Not had a good morning as my printer decided not to print anything at all - did all the trouble shooting and eventually uninstalled the whole kaboodle then put it back and now (fingers crossed) all seems to be back to normal.
One of my new FF stamps this time - I know everyone else has had them for ages but I'm always lagging behind! Coloured with promarkers with a bit of glamour dust to sparkle up the present. Background paper is a Sweet Shoppe design - Always and Forever and the other paper is from the Forever Friends paper pad. Cuttlebug ornate corners cut in pearlescent card and some little Flora Doodle flowers from the Joanna Sheen web shop. Cuddly Buddly greeting embossed in white and that's it.
Thanks for looking.

First card of 2009
Well being in the mood for a change to make a card I got my act together and voila! Big thanks to Marion for the lovely FF image which was so easy to colour with promarkers and stardust pens. The paper is Basic Grey Two Scoops and I cut out the flower from underneath the bear and stuck it on the top. Cuddly Buddly greeting embossed in antique gold on a nestie disc cut for me by Marion again......big thanks my dear friend. Bit of sparkle and that's it.
Not very adventurous but I'm happy with it. Thanks for looking.

The Saddest Day
Yesterday I had to have my dear little buddy Twiglet put to sleep. Over the last couple of weeks he had been losing so much weight and hardly eating a thing so I half prepared myself for the worst. He gave me so much joy in the nearly sixteen years I had him with me and although I know I did the right thing I feel heartbroken.
God bless my little man and if there is a heaven for cats I'm sure he's up there chasing the mice like a goodun.
